Mum Bought 18 Toilet Rolls Then Discovered Her Kids Had Thrown Them In The Bath

In light of recent events we’ve seen people taking stockpiling to another level as they fill their cupboards.

Some have been queuing outside supermarkets just to be able to grab what they can of their weekly shop, while others have been taking 15 of everything from the shelves.

One mum had opted to buy 18 toilet rolls for her family (let’s not make any assumptions, it might be all that was left). In doing so, she must have felt some relief that her kids were going to be stocked up for the foreseeable.

Little did she know, but her children had other ideas and when she walked into the bathroom she realised that all of the toilet paper was in the bath. Oh, and the bath was full of water.

The incident was posted on to Twitter with the caption: “My friend bought 18 loo rolls and her kids put them all in the bath.”

Since being posted, the tweet has racked up over 5,000 likes and 700 retweets.

One person suggested: “Hair dry them,” while another added: “Perfect opportunity to do some papier-mâché sculpting.”

Someone else commented: “Throw some pasta into that and it’d be a sure fire quarantine kit.”

Jumping to conclusions, another said: “That is a shameful waste. First, shame on her for stockpiling, depriving someone else of being able to buy some, and second, now look at them all gone to waste. This is not funny.”

Earlier today, Aldi announced that it will be limiting purchases to four of each product per customer, in an attempt to ensure that there is enough stock for everyone.

The supermarket chain posted on social media to say its staff were working ‘tirelessly’ to keep up with the ‘unprecedented demand’.

The statement read: “All our stores remain open and continue to serve our valued customers. We have good product availability and our incredible colleagues are working tirelessly to restock and replenish shelves as quickly as they can.

As we have seen an unprecedented demand across our range, we will be limiting customer purchases to four units on all products to ensure all of our customers have an opportunity to purchase them. We thank you all for your patience during this time.”
